Hayden AI Achieves SOC 2 Type II Security Certification For Second Consecutive Year

Hayden AI has achieved its SOC 2 Type II certification for a second consecutive year, marking a significant external validation of the stringent security practices we have created for our automated transit zone enforcement platform.

SOC 2 is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to assess the quality of companies’ data management systems and controls. Achieving this certification involved an in-depth, four-month long external examination of our systems and processes related to the security, processing integrity, and privacy of data collected for automated transit zone enforcement.

Transit agencies are facing a significant increase in cybersecurity threats. Weekly ransomware attacks occurring against public transit agencies worldwide have increased by 186% since June 2020, according to a 2024 report from the Mineta Transportation Institute.

To further protect data beyond what is required to achieve SOC 2 Type II compliance, our bus-mounted mobile perception platform limits the amount of data detected to only objects such as vehicles, traffic lane lines, and the location of curbs. Additionally, this data collection occurs on the edge, meaning that the only data that leaves each bus is data necessary to issue a prosecutable violation. The data is heavily encrypted during every phase of the chain of custody.
